Mitchell Water Australia Pty Ltd is committed to conduct its business and operations in a manner that will promote and protect the general health, safety and welfare of our workforce, the general public and the environment.
By establishing dynamic and sustainable objectives and targets we will provide a working environment that is safe and without risk to health. These objectives and targets will be specific in their designation, timeframe and within the means of the organisation.
In demonstrating Managements duty of care and commitment to the continual improvement of the organisation, we make every reasonable effort to provide a working environment that minimises incidents of risk or personal injury, ill health or damage to property.

In the interests of maintaining a high level of safety performance, contractors their employees and visitors are required to observe and comply with all health and safety standards, rules or instruction given by any company employee or delegated representative whilst attending the work site.
Mitchell Water is accredited by The Federal Safety Commissioner having met the requirements of the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme. The companies Safety Plan has also been accredited to AS/NZS 4801.
This safety policy coupled with stringent work practices has resulted in no Lost Time Injuries on the Wimmera Mallee Pipeline Project with almost 900,000 man hours expended as of June 2009. |
